Patricia Ann Funk

Patricia Ann Funk, 67, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on the hospice wing of Middlesex Hospital on July 20. Born on Feb. 5, 1955 in Madison, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. McCarroll and Bessie A. (Smith) McCarroll.

Patricia earned her graduate degree in business at Stone Academy and went on to be an executive assistant at both GTE and Telenet. She married the love of her life, her husband William E. Funk in 1978. They enjoyed 44 long years together, building a family and enjoying each other’s company. Patricia loved vacations, especially to Disneyworld. Her happy place was the beach, soaking up the sun and lounging in the water. Above all else, Patricia found her joy in spending time with those she held closest in her heart, her family.

As well as her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her son Adam Funk. Patricia will be greatly missed by her husband William E. Funk of Clinton; and her son Michael Funk (wife Julie) of Wethersfield. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandra Hueffman of North Haven, Linda Pitts of Westbrook, and Donna Johnson of Charlotte, NC. She will be remembered by her beloved grandchildren, Hailey Funk and Riley Funk of Wethersfield; and her many cherished nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Clinton Emergency Services, Middlesex Hospital, Middlesex Hospice and Companions and Homemakers for their dedicated and unyielding care of Patricia.
