07/14/2022 10:53 AMThomas A. Sonzoni, Sr., 88, of Boston Street, Guilford passed at CT Hospice, Branford, on July 11. Born on Dec. 21, 1933, in Guilford, son of the late Anthony and Margaret Milesi Sonzoni.
Loving father of Thomas Sonzoni (Roseann) of North Branford and Tammy Hyatt of Guilford. Also survived by grandhildren, Randy Sonzoni, Kaylee Sonzoni, Dane Sonzoni, Mitchell Minckler, Cory Minckler, Haley Hyatt; and his great-granddaughter Brooklyn Sonzoni. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, George, Leo, Peter, and John Sonzoni; and sisters, Jenny Laffin Heck and Margaret Rita Samsel.
Mr. Sonzoni served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served as a Nike missile launcher in Holmdel Township, New Jersey where he protected the shoreline.
Friends may call at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 14 at Guilford Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston Street, Guilford.
