North Haven

Arthur C. Tuttle, born Feb. 28, 1927, died June 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Jessie Diglio Tuttle, and his parents, Arthur and Katherine Crowe Tuttle.

He was the loving father of Marilyn (Ralph) Proto of North Haven, Karen (Scott Scoville) Consolatore of North Haven, and Maureen Miller of Florida; brother of Elizabeth Ann Perrone, William (Theresa) Tuttle, Janet Martone, Edward Tuttle, Elaine Sorensen, and the late Harry, John, and Robert Tuttle; and brother-in-law of Suzanne (Martin) Lombardi, Donald (Marie) Pericello, and Josephine Tuttle. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Steven Proto, Tracy Nunez, Robert and Jessica Miller, and Robert Consolatore, and his great-grandchildren, Ava Proto and Jason and Bobby Miller.

Arthur served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II and graduated from the University of New Haven. He retired as a lieutenant of the New Haven Police Department, after which he worked as an administrator of the Sailor, Soldiers, and Marine Fund of the State of Connecticut. He was a member of the Umberto Club and the Libero Pensiero Society of Wallingford. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling in several leagues, was an avid golfer, and loved playing cards.

The family gives special thanks and gratitude to the staff, nurses, and aides at The Landing of North Haven, where Art spent the last two years of life, well cared for and comfortable.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, to attend a Mass of Christian burial.
