Bruce W. Bowden, Jr., of Lincoln, Maine, passed away peacefully on May 28, after suffering a long illness at Northern Light Medical Center. He was born on March 8, 1954. Bruce grew up in Lagrange, Maine, went to high school in Milo, and graduated in 1972.

Once graduated, he moved to Connecticut, for 40 years meeting so many friends and having his only child, Wendy Bowden. Bruce, also known as “Sonny” by his friends and family, lived a wonderful life. He loved to hunt and fish. Bruce was an amazing home builder/contractor and owned Bowden Builders out of Branford for more than 35 years. Bruce made many trips from Connecticut to Maine to visit his friends and family and spend time at his camp on Schoodic Lake.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother Joanne M. Chase-Smart and father Bruce W. Bowden, Sr. He is survived by his stepmother Lola Bowden; daughter Wendy Bowden; sister Deborah Morang and husband Dennis; brother Daren Bowden; stepchildren, Joey and Megan Gradzewicz; special uncle Stanley Bowden; many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren; and lifelong friend Lisa Gradzewicz.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, at Chatfield Hollow State Park, Connecticut.
