East Haven

Gerald “Jay” Glazier, Jr., 47, of East Haven passed away unexpectedly on May 27 from heart failure. He was born Aug. 28, 1974, in New Haven.

Jay is survived by his loving mother, Jane Ferraiuolo of Prospect; his daughter, Morgan Riccio of Branford; a sister, Jessica-Lynn Glazier of Branford; and his companion, Krista Amato of East Haven. He is also survived by his niece Destiny Glazier, nephew Elijah Alexander, great-nephew Brayden Ruiz, aunt Shannon Ferraiuolo, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Gloria (Moore) Ferraiuolo.

Jay was a man of many talents; his inquisitive mind was always up for a challenge to learn something new. His charismatic presence filled a room; people were drawn to his magnetic way. He was a lover of music and people. Jay’s ability to understand and connect with people was one of his greatest gifts. His energy and laughter was intoxicating by all who knew and loved him, he was a treasure who will be missed dearly.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven. All are invited to meet and attend the graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven; please go directly to the cemetery.
