Guilford

Bernard Roy Mullett, Jr., 75, of Guilford, passed away on April 4. Bernie was born on Jan. 14, 1947, to Frances and Roy Mullett in New Haven. After Bernie graduated from Guilford High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and deployed to Vietnam. Upon returning from the war, he began working at C.R. Gibson, kickstarting a 30-plus year career in manufacturing. He then joined Kpk Construction where he was head foreman for more than 15 years.

Bernie was a dedicated baseball fan and the Yankees were #1 in his book. He spent his time meeting with friends, reading, seeing movies, and watching sports. He was a joyful man who enjoyed life and will be missed.

Bernie was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by his brother Ken Mullett and nieces Rebecca Deshefy (Jered), Jennifer Aghai (Durward), Tina Freitas (Nick), and Alisha Milardo (Andrew), along with seven great-nieces and nephews.
