Lois Alvina (Hill) Lewis, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Jan. 23 at the age of 82, with her family by her side.

Lois loved to travel, work in the garden, and put puzzles together.

Lois was born on July 31, 1939, to Alvah and Hazel Hill in Baldwin’s Mill, Providence of Quebec, Canada, on her father’s mink fur farm. She was a lifelong Canadian citizen who resided in Madison for the majority of her life. Lois was employed by Chesebrough-Ponds as a customer service representative until her retirement, when she then moved to South Florida with her husband Robert Lewis. In 2015, they moved to Blairsville, Georgia, where she lived out her remaining years surrounded by her family and friends.

Lois is survived by her children Linda Fussell and her husband Wayne Fussell, Elaine Mulligan, and Robert Lewis, Jr., and his wife Mariana Harper-Lewis; her grandchildren Erin Mulligan, Patrick Mulligan, Kelly Mulligan, Morgan Fussell, Robert Lewis III, and Jason Lewis; half-sister Heather Lynch; niece Wanda; and many other cousins. She is predeceased by her parents Alvah Milton Hill and Hazel (Bullis), her husband Robert Lewis, Sr., her sister Juanita (Hill) Mitchell, and her sister Wonna (Hill) Stoner.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, at Hammonasset Cemetery in Madison. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to Connecticut Hospice at 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
