North Haven

Josephine Marie DeLeonardo Signor, 104, of North Haven passed away peacefully on March 14 at Middlesex Memorial Hospital, Middletown. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen D. Signor.

Josephine was born in New Haven Aug. 4, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Frances Festa DeLeonardo. She had worked in the cafeteria at Wilbur Cross High School for many years, was a member of the North Haven Senior Center, and enjoyed crafts, playing cards, and bingo.

She was the mother of Stephen (Mary) Signor and the late Diane Raccio, mother-in-law of Frank Raccio, Sr., grandmother of Frank Raccio, Jr., and Laurie (David) Blanchette, and great-grandmother of Connor, Brayden, and Brianna Blanchette. She is also survived by her loving niece Susan (Raymond) Wilson. She was predeceased by her siblings, Louis and Salvatore DeLeonardo, Emily Proto, Jean DeMetrio, and Mary Carnavaciolo.

The visiting hours will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven.
