Marie C. Lang was born in Meriden, May 9, 1945, and passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 24. Marie was a lovely person.

She was an avid gardener and homemaker. Marie retired from Turbo Products after 35 years and spent her retirement time reading, doing crossword puzzles, working outside in her yard, canning, and taking drives to sit by the beach in Westbrook. She also enjoyed a nice glass of wine. Marie was a communicant at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex, and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Essex Veterans Club. She is survived by her life partner of 35 years, Louis Denette of Ivoryton; her mother Santina Bean of Meriden; and her sisters and their husbands Donna Lott and Frederick Ariel of Deep River, Bernadette Niland and her husband Robert of Portland, and Gerarda McIntyre and her husband Joseph of Southington. Marie also leaves her three children, Ann Foster of Colorado, Michael Lang of Florida, and David Lang of Maryland; several grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews as well. She was predeceased by her father Bernard Bean and her twin brother John S. Bean.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the spring at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex, followed by her burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Chester.
