East Haven

JoAnne M. Sansone Lucibello, 85, of East Haven passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 15, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 66 years to Andrew Lucibello. She was born in New Haven on Oct. 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Michael and Lorretta Meglio Sansone.

JoAnne was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and Quinnipiac College. She had worked as a payroll clerk for the Visiting Nurses Association of New Haven for many years. Family was everything to JoAnne. She especially lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant everything to her. She was very charitable, having donated to numerous charities.

She was the loving mother to Doreen (Joseph) Kordorsky, Andrew Lucibello, and Marlene (Michael) Devaney; beloved grandmother of Kaylin Valldejuli (Raul), Andrew Lucibello, Michael Lamont, Sarah Lucibello, Grace Lucibellob and Mariana Kordorsky; and cherished great-grandmother of Francesca “Frankie” and Caia Valldejuli.

The visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, in the The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, and to attend committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
