Old Saybrook

Holly Beth “HB” Wilcox, 64, wife of Carl Wilcox of Old Saybrook, peacefully passed away on Feb. 11, surrounded by her loving family.

HB married Carl, the love of her life, in her family home (336) on Nov. 2, 1975. The bond and love between Holly and Carl is what true and lasting love is made of.

They were later able to return to her family home and raise their own children in the house that meant so much to her as a child. Summer days were filled with swimming, music, and BBQs with Rod Stewart playing on the radio, hotdogs on the grill, and all the sounds of the people that meant the world to her. These would be the moments HB would look forward to the most, surrounded by family and friends that brought her great joy.

HB had many proud accomplishments throughout her life, including graduating from Albert’s School of Hair Design and opening her own salon; however, she will be most remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother. Her family was always her first passion.

In addition to her husband, HB is survived and will be dearly missed by her children, Candice Wilcox (Mark Robert), Sabrina Wilcox (partner Jessica Lillge), Carlton Wilcox, Thomas Wilcox (wife Kristen Wilcox), Anthony Bolduc, and Michael Spencer; and grandchildren, Dante Lynch, Gabe Lynch, and Brennen Wilcox.

We would like to thank the hospice staff Lara and Lynn, who during this most difficult time went above and beyond to ensure HB was comfortable and our family felt supported.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Middlesex Health Hospice Program 21 Pleasant Street Middletown, CT 06475.
