Anthony V. Acanfora, 58, of North Haven passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 4 at his home. He was born in New Haven on June 6, 1963, the son of the late Vincent and Ersie Lowe Acanfora. Both parents were proud U.S. Marines, and his mother was North Haven police officer for many years.

Anthony’s greatest passion was working on his many cars. Known to help anyone at any time, Anthony will be greatly missed by his friends Jim Owler, Angelo Appi, Jr., and many others. Anthony is survived by his brother John Acanfora; a nephew, John Michael (Samantha) Acanfora; and sister-in-law Elise Esposito.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
