North Haven

Myron S. Pidskalny, Jr., 66, of North Haven, formerly of Northford, passed away peacefully on Feb. 7 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven on Jan. 18, 1956, he was the son of the late Myron S. Pidskalny, Sr., and Rose Palmieri Pidskalny.

Myron attended the University of New Haven, was a graduate of the Police Academy, and served as a police officer on the North Branford Police Department. Myron was a real jokester who was an avid pool player, enjoyed camping at Hammonasset State Park, Madison, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally.

The former husband of Florence Crisci, he was the father of Christi Pidskalny Sargent (Andrew) and Anthony Pidskalny (Jessica); grandfather of Raphaella Sargent, Nala Pidskalny, Hazel Sargent, and Watson Pidskalny; and brother of Robert W. Pidskalny, Michael F. Pidskalny, and Carol L. Coady. He is also survived by his puppies, Schatzi and Cub. He was predeceased by his companion Sylvia Burton.
