North Haven

Frank V. Cofrancesco, 93, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Feb. 8 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Liz” Sholl Cofrancesco. Frank was born in New Haven July 19, 1928, the son of the late Frank and Pasqualina DiLella Cofrancesco. He attended the former Southern Connecticut State College and the Paier College of Art, formerly of Hamden.

Frank had worked for his family’s business, Alton Truck Body & Trailer Service, Inc., of East Haven and was a commercial artist. He was an avid golfer and a New York Yankee fan.

He was the stepfather of Eric Cohen (Marlene) and Lori Baker (Dennis); grandfather of Matthew Baker (Jill), Dan Baker (significant other Kiana Belanger), Kristin Kiczuk (Paul), Michael Cohen (Kerey), Greg Cohen, and Amy Cohen (fiancé Justin Ray); and great-grandfather of Tyler, Jake, Joshua, Madelyn, Emma, and Kylee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Albert, and Hugo Cofrancesco and sisters Jenny Palmese, Theresa Vece, Matilda “Babe” Sullo, and Ella Ragozzino.

The visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, in Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Haven Animal Shelter, 183 Commerce Street, East Haven, CT 06512.
