Old Saybrook

Tamera R. Prevost, 63, a lifelong resident of Old Saybrook, passed away peacefully on Jan. 12 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her devoted family after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Born in New London on June 20, 1958, she was the daughter of Norman and Elizabeth (Green) Prevost. Tami was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an avid book reader. She enjoyed spending time with her loving companion Rick Mattson and her grandchildren.

Tami was known for her ability to always smile as well as her wit and sarcastic faces. She will be extremely missed by her granddaughter Aubrey as they always held a special bond. Survivors include her parents, brother Norman “Nick” Prevost, Jr. (Dan Troxell), son Douglas Prevost (Eve Levi), daughter Jolene Cronan (Justin), and four grandchildren, Douglas, Jr., Jacqueline, Aubrey, and Harleigh. Her loss has left a void in our hearts that will never be filled.

Calling hours were held on Jan. 19 at the Swan Funeral Home, Old Saybrook. Burial was private.
