Guilford

Michael Frank Rollo passed away on Jan. 7, peacefully at his home with his wife and best friend Rosemarie (Pucillo) Rollo of 49 years by his side. Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Julius and Margaret Rollo.

Give him a hammer and nails and he would build or fix anything; his passion was to be an architect. He loved cooking and we will miss his special mushrooms. He owned the Glass Slipper Gift and Christmas Shop in Guilford and Madison, where he met and enjoyed many friends over 15 years

A special thank you to Mike, his brother-in-law for his calls which he looked forward to and friends, Sam and Nance who were there for us whenever and whatever we needed and Jack and Mary our friends and neighbors who he loved his talks with Jack over the fence about their vegetable gardens and of course Harley who he loved to see, VNA Hospice of Guilford for your care and compassion, Angela he loved your questions, Carley he loved your care and time spent with him and Rebecca your morning talks he looked forward to and Kathy your special visits.

He was always willing to help anyone, and his kindness, smile, and blue eyes will be missed by family and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Avenue, West Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Community Health Care and Hospice, 753 Boston Post Rd., #200, Guilford and St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, CT 06437. Arrangements are in the care of the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. To share a memory or leave condolences, visit www.guilfordfuneralhome.com.
