Deep River

Thomas R. Conwell, 59, of Deep River passed away on Jan. 8, after a valiant battle with liver cancer.

Tom was born July 13, 1962, to Charles and Virginia Conwell in Middletown. After graduating from Valley Regional High School in 1980, he went on to join the 82nd Airborne.

After leaving the Army, Tom worked in construction and landscaping, eventually forming his own company, Conwell Enterprises.

In 1989, he married Patricia (Capuciati) Conwell, and went on to have two children, Thomas and Michael.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting with his sons. An avid dog lover, he always had his German shepherd companion by his side. Whether it be a home project, emergency phone call, or just a trip to the store, Tom was always ready and willing to help out when anybody needed anything.

Tom was predeceased by his father, Charles Ray Conwell. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Conwell; his mother, Virginia Zeleznicky; his sister, Marcey (Conwell) Tabar; his two children, Thomas Conwell and Michael Conwell; his daughter-in-law Melanie Flood; his granddaughter Olivia Rose Conwell; and his loyal canine companions, Jack and Luna.
