Holly Anne Nichols passed away on Jan. 5 in Clinton at the age of 65 due to complications from diabetes. Holly was born in Bronxville, New York July 20, 1956, the daughter of Evelyn and the late Jarvis Nichols. Holly lived most of her life first in Madison, then in Clinton.

Holly graduated from Daniel Hand High School in Madison and from Becker Junior College in Massachusetts. For many years, she was employed at various department stores in the shoreline area. Holly especially enjoyed working with her co-workers at Walmart in Old Saybrook, and we are grateful her colleagues enjoyed working with her.

Holly leaves behind her mother Evelyn Nichols from Clinton, her brother Christopher and his wife Ann from Barnstable, Massachusetts, her sister Jennifer Wilson and her husband John from Plymouth, Massachusetts, and her sister Betsy from Shelburne, Vermont, as well as many nieces and nephews. Holly was predeceased by her father, Jarvis Nichols, in 2011.

Swan Funeral Home in Clinton is handling the arrangements. A private ceremony for her family will be held at a later date.

We are hopeful Holly is in a better place, relishing the warmth of the sunshine as she swims happily in salt water and romps with puppies on the grass!
