Branford

Antonio Vigliotti of Branford died on Jan. 2 at Milford Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary Grace Piscitelli Vigliotti. Antonio was born on Oct. 22, 1934, in Cervino, Casserto, Italy, son of the late Francesco and Angela Rosa Razzano Vigliotti.

He was a painting contractor and owner of Vigliotti Painting for many years until retiring. He was an avid bowler and bocce player, enjoyed playing poker, and was a New York Yankee fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Angela Rose Vigliotti of Branford, Angelina (Thomas) Geraci of East Haven, and Frances (Giovanni) Valentino of Branford and his siblings Antimo Vigliotti and Annarita Paycheck, both of Syracuse, New York; Maria Piscitelli and Vivian Vigliotti, both of Branford; and Aniello Vigliotti of Glendale, Arizona. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings Palmine Savanelli, Fortunata Savanelli, and Filomena Lisi.

His funeral will leave the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, for a Mass of Christian burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford, at noon.
