Lydia Mary Ponzillo of Clinton passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, at home.

She was born June 5, 1957, in Meriden, the daughter of Anthony and June (Clark) Ponzillo.

Lydia graduated from Westbrook High School. She enjoyed many summers at the family Cedar Island cottage. She loved sailing and hummingbirds. She worked for many years at Thompson & Peck Insurance in Old Saybrook.

Lydia is survived by her longtime companion Ray Gorneau of Clinton and her brother Carl T. Ponzillo of Westbrook. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Gary Ponzillo, her collie Shane, and her cat Sammy.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clinton Veterinary Hospital.
