Clinton

Dianne Marie Gagnon, 63, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Dec. 17, 2021.

Born Aug. 13, 1958, in Hartford, Dianne was the only daughter of her surviving parents, Julie and Albert Roussel of Clinton.

A graduate of George J. Penny High School’s class of 1976, Dianne attended Manchester Memorial Hospital’s radiation program to become a certified radiology technician. She married her high-school sweetheart, James Gagnon, and moved to Clinton, New Jersey. They shared 24 years of marriage together and raised two sons, Todd James Gagnon, 40, of Manahawkin, New Jersey, and Aaron Albert Gagnon, 38, of Sparta, New Jersey.

Dianne worked for Hunterdon Developmental Center and BREMS Imaging Center, both of Clinton, New Jersey, for more than 25 years, caring for others and fostering many friendships during her impressive tenure.

In 2019, Dianne moved into a quaint, private community in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, where she and her dog, Lilly, enjoyed their time spent together. Dianne settled comfortably into retirement; book club, home decorating, and hosting company were among her favorite hobbies.

Dianne’s most beloved, cherished title was that of “Memere.” Her love for her grandsons, Luca John, 7, and Connor James, 4, shall remain unparalleled.

As she requested, in lieu of a funeral service, a celebration of Dianne’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, at her home. The address is 541 Edward Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. All are welcomed and encouraged to visit.

Dianne will be missed, honored, and remembered with love; the sacred memories of her tenderhearted life are eternal.
