Branford

Cecelia Kosobiecki Hipski, 93, of Branford died peacefully on Dec. 18 at her home with her children at her side. She was the wife of the late Raymond P. Hipski. She was a companion of the late Andrew A. Delandra of East Haven. Cecelia was born Dec. 8, 1928, in New Haven, a daughter of the late John and Josephine Lavandowski Kosobiecki.

She worked as a long-time employee of Bayer Corporation (the former Miles Pharmaceutical). She was a communicant of St. John Bosco Parish in Branford and had a strong devotion to Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and St. Padre Pio.

Cecelia is survived by her daughters Linda A. Hipski and her partner Mitch Reid of Connecticut and Veronica C. Conklin and her husband James F. Conklin of Branford. She was predeceased by her seven sisters, Jennie Chernovetz, Catherine Dana, Lucy Pawlowicz, Martha Gregorowicz, Eleanor Zurkus, Mary Lincoln, and Dorothy Porto.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford.
