Jason Sagnella, 43, of East Haven passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 6. He was born on Oct. 4, 1978, in New Haven to Bernadette Gilson Sagnella of East Haven and Joseph Sagnella of Las Vegas. Jason is survived by his parents, son Jaiden, and siblings Joseph Sagnella, Erica Sagnella, and Nick Lang, all of East Haven. He is also survived by his four beautiful and sassy nieces, Alexis, Jayda, Mia, and Aria. (Uncle Jason was their superhero.)

Jason lit up any room he walked into. He was kind, funny, a huge ball breaker, class clown, and everybody’s best friend. He was easy to talk to, he would call you an idiot, but help you through all your problems. Although he had four nieces, he was “Uncle Jay” to all the kids in the neighborhood.

Family received friends on Dec. 13 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Dec. 14 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Bernadette, New Haven. Burial will be private.
