Guilford

Dominic J. Caciopoli, longtime resident of Guilford and most recently of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on Nov. 20 at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida.

The husband of the late Andrea (Barton) Caciopoli, Dominic was born in New Haven on Dec. 4, 1941, son of the late Salvatore Caciopoli and Evelyn (Small) Caciopoli. Dominic was also survived by his extended family of his siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins, and good friends.

Dominic graduated from Bridgeport University and earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut. He practiced law, with a specialty in construction law, for more than 40 years. He was a brilliant law student and attorney who worked diligently and tirelessly for his clients. He was kind, and loyal and generous with his friends. He was an ardent fan of UConn men’s and women’s basketball. He loved good food and late-night meals with friends.

Friends are invited to a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston Street, Guilford.
