North Haven

Emily E. Dauenhauer, 37, of Norwalk, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 24. Born in New Haven on July 13, 1984, she was the beloved daughter of Richard and Mary Ann Ciarlelli Dauenhauer. A 2002 North Haven High School graduate, Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in English and communications from Salve Regina University and a master’s degree in project management from Northeastern University.

She had worked as director of marketing for Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and later as the associate director of payor solutions marketing for Boehringer Ingelheim in Danbury. Emily’s lust for travel brought her around the globe, including 40 different states, all over Europe, and multiple islands in the Caribbean. She was a lover of animals and everything Boston, a city she cherished living in while she was earning her degree. She donated her time as a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fairfield County.

She was the sister of Amy Sherer (Ed) and Michael Dauenhauer, granddaughter of Elizabeth Ciarlelli and the late George Ciarlelli and Mary and Arthur Dauenhauer, and aunt of Nicole and Katelyn, whom Emily “loved to the moon and back.” Also survived by her faithful companion, her parents’ dog Brandy, and was predeceased by their dog Bailey.

The visiting hours were on Nov. 28, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Nov. 29 at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven, followed by committal services in All Saints Cemetery.
