Daniel W. McDonald of Branford died on Nov. 9 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan DiGiorgi McDonald. Dan was born Dec. 18, 1955, in New Haven, son of the late David R. and Shirley Faulkner McDonald. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in many capacities at Branford Building Supplies for more than 35 years.

Dan is survived by his children Jennifer (Thomas) Daniels of Deep River, Kristina (Branden) Cheesman of Clinton, and Daniel W. McDonald, Jr. of Branford; his grandchildren Vincent and James Daniels; his sisters DeLynn (John) Gaston of New Port Richey, Florida and Dawn (Tim) Smith of Penn Yan, New York; his brother-in-arms Larry Bianchi; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
