Guilford

Debbie Smith-Wynne, 61, of Guilford, died suddenly on Oct. 28, with her family by her side. Debbie was born in New Haven on Sept. 24, 1960, the daughter of the late Robert T. and Norma-Jean (King) Smith. Debbie was kind and generous, always the first to offer assistance to anyone. Debbie’s passions included people watching, reading, crafting, cooking, and baking, especially her special Christmas cookies. Debbie was a dedicated employee of Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 25e years.

Debbie was the beloved wife of John T. Wynne, Jr. for 32 years. Debbie enjoyed Friday movie nights and traveling the world with the love of her life, John. He will miss these special times with her dearly. Debbie was the loving and devoted mother of Ashleigh Wynne (fiancé Joe Duval, Jr.) of Vernon. One of Debbie’s greatest joys in life was her cherished daughter. Debbie was never far from Ashleigh’s side. And she, too, will miss her dearly.

Other survivors include her siblings, David (Marisa) Smith of Florida, Diane (Rick) Patnaude of Branford, Dawn (Frank) O’Brien of West Haven, and Darcy Smith of Hamden. In addition, Debbie was the loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
