Richard F. “Rick” Duryea, 69, of Clinton passed away at home on Oct. 13, with his loving wife by his side, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Rick attended the Clinton schools. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Rick retired from Stop-N-Shop Transportation, then went on to work as a bus driver for the Regional School District 17.

He was a big kid at heart and loved his trains and trucks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G. Denton and Beatrice E. Daly Duryea. He is survived by his brothers Denny of Old Saybrook and Florida, Paul of Wallingford, Jeff of West Virginia, and Brian of Florida and sister Susan Hall of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. You may make a donation to your favorite charity or Middlesex Hospice in his memory.
