East Haven

Rebecca Ann Buecher, 56, of East Haven passed away on Oct. 6 from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born on Aug. 24, 1965, in San Bernardino, California, to Gilbert and Maxine Miller. She was the loving wife of Steve Buecher, dedicated mother of Veronica Buecher, and loyal caretaker to Timmy. She is survived by her sisters Pam Pendarvis and Debi Zendejas (Paul), brother Dennis Miller (Dyann), and stepmother Sharon Miller, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Becky graduated from Vogue College of Cosmetology in Colorado Springs, Colorado and worked for several years as a hair stylist until she found her calling as a caregiver specializing in Alzheimer’s disease therapy. Becky spent her early years competitive roller skating and carving up Lake Mead with her slalom ski. Becky was an avid camper and kayaker, traveling the U.S. with her husband. Becky was known for being kindhearted and energetic and for having a wild spirit—she lit the room up when she entered. She was well known for her innovative and artistic craft projects.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a brief service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Donate Life or the Alzheimers Association in memory of Rebecca Buecher.
