Alfred T. “Fred” Sevigny, Jr., of Griswold and formerly of Clinton passed away peacefully on Sept. 9.

He was born in Middletown on Oct. 29, 1972, and grew up in Clinton, graduating from The Morgan School in Clinton. He was the son of Rose Sevigny of Old Saybrook and the late Alfred Sevigny, Sr., brother of R. Michelle Pedros (Bob) of Oxford, and the uncle to Mia Rose and Luciano Pedros, grandson to the late Rose and Carmen Carrano and Theodore and Loretta Sevigny.

He was a Clinton boy through and through and even after moving away came back countless times to enjoy the area restaurants.

He worked for Stop & Shop for 25 years. He loved the job and the people. It was a second home to him. Alfred had the best personality and always a big smile.

Calling hours were held on Sept. 15 at the Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home, Jewett City. Burial was private.
