East Haven

Palma Delaney, 95, of East Haven passed away on Sept. 25. She was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Peekskill, New York, to Emanuel and Beatrice (Witaker) Patsy.

Palma is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Donna Rollier (widow of Stephen Rollier) of East Haven and a son, Donald Delaney, Jr. (Virginia) of New York. She is also survived by her son-in-law Robert Thomas of Louisiana, 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Joan Travis of New York. Palma is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Delaney (2000); daughter Paula Thomas, and a sister, Marlene Greene.

Palma Delaney grew up in Westchester, New York and married the man of her dreams, Donald Delaney. Together they thrived in the restaurant and hotel business until later years when Palma changed her career to Nannie and home care giver. Palma moved to Connecticut after the passing of her husband Donald. Palma enjoyed the last 20 years playing bingo and casino trips with all her friends at the East Haven Senior Center.

Family will receive friends from noon until the time of a brief service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven. Burial will be at a later date in New York.
