Ivoryton

Aaron White Foster, 35 years young, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Sept 11. He was born Jan. 10, 1986, in Middletown, to Mark Mitchel Foster and Wendy Berggren Foster. He grew up in Ivoryton and graduated from Valley Regional High School in 2004. He also attended three years of Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire where he studied history and philosophy. He spent years working outdoors, working in boat yards, doing asphalt work, and landscaping. Aaron was truly one of a kind. He was a kindred spirit and loved spending time outdoors, reading, writing, and listening to music. He loved everything from jazz to the Grateful Dead and the finest underground hip-hop. He was affectionately known as Bird and Fritz to those around him.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jessi Marie Foster (Marshall) of Meriden. She and he were inseparable and did everything together. They were truly soulmates through and through. She and Aaron share a son, whom he leaves behind, Ezekiel Mark Foster of Meriden, and a stepdaughter, Jaymisyn Marie Colon of Bristol. He is survived by his loving parents, Mark Mitchel Foster (and his partner Donna L. Smith) of Deep River and Wendy Berggren Foster of Wallingford, and his adoring sisters, Emily C. Foster of St. Louis, Missouri and Bethany A. Foster of Bristol and her daughters (his nieces) Madaline Lorraine Russo and Cali Rose Patricia Turner. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him very much.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Patricia M. Foster and Edward White Foster, Jr. He is also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, J. Philip Berggren and Lorraine G. Berggren.

Despite the circumstances of his passing, Aaron had been doing great and had overcome so much in the past few months. He will be missed tremendously, leaving a huge hole in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation was on Sept. 24 at Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook. A service was held on Sept. 25 at the First Congregational Church of Essex.
