Guilford

Audrey L. (Miller) Sirochman, 95, of North Buffalo Township, Pennsylvania, died on Sept. 17 at The Ridge at Heritage Meadows.

Born July 23, 1926, in Slate Lick, she was a daughter of the late Philly Murray and Pearl (Gillam) Miller.

Mrs. Sirochman was a member of Grace Brethren Church of West Kittanning, Pennsylvania.

She was a 1944 graduate of Kittanning High School and was the valedictorian of her class. She attended Geneva College and sang with the Genevans.

Audrey was employed by Eljer Pottery before moving to Connecticut, where she was a clerk at the Craftsman Shop of Guilford.

She was an avid gardener, quilter, and crafter. Mrs. Sirochman was a life member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, and a life member and past president of the Guilford Garden Club. She also belonged to the Guilford Keeping Society, where she maintained the colonial gardens for many years. Flowers from her gardens decorated two period houses, a local church, and patient rooms at the Connecticut Hospice. She also won ribbons in flower arranging and horticulture.

After returning to Pennsylvania, she joined the Pieceful Patchers Quilt Guild of Sarver. Many of her quilts were donated to charity.

She is survived by a Godson, William Sirochman of Ford City, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Nicholas, her husband of 67 years, and a sister, Regene Shields.
