Killingworth

Carolyn R. Hale, 73, of Killingworth, passed away at home on Sept. 16. She was born July 6, 1948, in Salem, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Elizabeth and Murray Warner.

Together with her late husband, Charles R. Hale, Jr., she owned Tuxis Lumber Company in Madison. She was a huge fan of the UConn women’s basketball and the Patriots. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching her granddaughters dance.

She is survived by her sister Mary Elizabeth Reider and spouse Bruce Reider of Ocala, Florida, originally of Madison; daughters Jennifer Mandeville and her spouse Todd Mandeville of Killingworth and Cynthia Dvorsky and significant other Gary Czarnecki of Clinton; and granddaughters Bailey Mandeville and Haley Dvorsky.

A special thank you goes to the aides for the care that they provided for our mom.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. Burial will be held privately.
