Branford

Ann B. Hartigan of Branford died on June 10 at Branford Hills Health Care Center after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Hartigan. Ann was born in New Haven on April 24, 1925, daughter of the late Gennaro and Giovannina Ranfone Solevo.

She worked at Harco in Branford for many years until retiring in 1997. Ann loved to cook, especially for her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious pepperoni bread. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Yankees and the UConn basketball teams.

Ann is survived by her children Judith (Dave) Perrone, Karen (Dean) DeMello, Ann (Michael) Gargamelli, and Colleen Smith; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Vincent Iovieno, her daughter Kathleen Sytnik, and her siblings Mary Biondi, Francis Solevo, Anthony Solevo, Jean Miro-Quesada, Florence Civitello, Rose Greenburg, and Joseph Solevo.

Her funeral service was held June 15, in the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, followed by burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. For her online memorial, see www.wsclancy.com.
