Madison

Ann T. Fogg of Madison passed away unexpectedly on June 1, at her home. Ann was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, on Aug. 2, 1934, the daughter of Anthony and Rose Tedesco. The family subsequently moved to Westfield, New Jersey. Ann graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor of arts degree in history and special education. She furthered her education at Southern Connecticut State University by completing both a master’s degree and a sixth-year degree in special education.

Ann was a special education teacher for many years at various schools in Madison and retired in the early 1990s. After retiring from the public school system, she taught at The Country School in Madison for several more years. Ann helped countless children to learn how to read and was adamant that each child should reach his or her potential. She cherished time spent with family and friends and enjoyed gardening, reading, and volunteering at the Food Pantry.

Ann is survived by and will be dearly missed by her three children, Scott Fogg and Kay Feld of New London, John Fogg and his wife Pamela of Cary, North Carolina, and Leslie Fogg White and her husband Chris of West Hartford; seven grandchildren, Anthony and Nicole White, Kaitlyn and Benjamin Fogg, and Michael, Justin, and Nicholas Fogg; three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Jaxon, and Aurora White; and Sue Hermonat, her closest friend for over 40 years.

Memorial services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, at the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison.
