James Ezra “Jim” Husted, 82, of Clinton passed away on June 1. He was born Oct. 16, 1938, in Madison, to William Benjamin Husted and Clara Jean Grove.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents William Benjamin Husted and Clara Jean Grove and by his wife of more than 50 years, Charlotte (Sherman) Husted. He is also preceded in death by sisters Nancy Folger, Francis Clark, June Palmer, and Jean Collins and brother Willis Husted. He leaves behind three children, Tammy (Husted) Perzanoski and her husband Brian Perzanoski of Florida, Kimberly (Husted) Woodrum and her husband Edward Woodrum of Delaware, and James Ezra Husted, Jr., and his wife Heather (Eden) Husted of Connecticut. He also leaves behind brothers Benjamin Husted of Massachusetts and Robert Husted of Connecticut. He was especially proud to be the grandfather of six grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Mark, Emily, Alex, and Nicholas, and three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kensley, Mavrick; one of his greatest joys was making them laugh.

Jim graduated from The Morgan School in Clinton in 1957 and worked for the Connecticut Water Company for more than 40 years. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and gregarious nature.
