Michael Hurley passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on May 16.

Mike is survived by his loving family, wife of 35 years Eileen, son Robert, and daughter Ashley.

He was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Hurley of Northford.

Mike retired from the V.A. Medical Center where he worked as a respiratory therapist and pulmonary function technologist. He previously worked at the St. Raphael’s Hospital and Yale Medical Center.

Mike enjoyed driving around town in his Jeep, windows down, listening to music, especially the Beatles and Eric Clapton. Mike’s favorite times included spending time with family and friends, working in his yard, and sitting by a fire telling stories.

Mike’s sense of humor and kind spirit will be missed by his loving family and great friends.
