Therese K. Altmannsberger of Newington, formerly of Short Beach, Branford, died on May 29 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Altmannsberger, and second husband, Bennett Zinkerman. She was the mother of Jason Altmannsberger (wife Jamie) and grandmother of Christopher Altmannsberger of Chester. She was the sister of Betty Iannotti (Frank) of Branford, Eileen Taddei (Vincent) of Clinton, Nancy McMeekin (W. John) of Coventry, and Janet O’Dell (John) of Cheshire and also leaves beloved nieces and nephews.

Therese was born in Bridgeport on Nov. 19, 1950, daughter of William D. and Bernice Kearney Arbegast. She was an account manager at New Haven Savings Bank for more than 20 years.

Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021, at W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A memorial service will immediately follow. Burial will be private. Please see her online memorial at www.wsclancy.com.
