Kathryn Ann Colandrea, 76, of Madison passed into eternal peace surrounded by her family on May 18 after succumbing to a short-term illness.

Born Feb. 24, 1945, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Edward and Estelle (Kuchyt) Gudelski of New Haven. After graduating from Saint Mary’s High School and studying at Stone Business Academy, Kathryn worked as an administrative assistant. Most recently Kathryn retired from Clinton Public Schools as secretary to the principal of The Morgan School where she served in that capacity for 34 years.

Kathryn is survived by her two sisters and the father of her children: Joan Lamoreaux of Manchester, Pauline Gentile of East Haven, and Dennis Colandrea of Cadiz, Kentucky. Kathryn is also survived by her three children, Jeff, James, and Janet; their spouses Marie, Rachel, and Russ Miller; and her four grandchildren, Ryan, Jared, Julie, and Joshua.

Kathryn’s greatest achievement has been about Motherhood. When asked about her favorite holiday, she responded “All of them…they are an opportunity to be together with family.”

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated May 25, at Saint John Church, Cromwell. Burial followed in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
