George Myron Kinser, of Old Saybrook passed away May 10, 2021.

He was born March 31, 1944, in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Helen Engle Kinser.

George served in the U.S. Navy as a submariner. He was a retired plant operator at the V.A. Hospital in West Haven. He loved to garden and watercolor painting.

George is survived by his wife Phyllis; children Scott Kinser of Clinton, Glenn Kinser and his wife Jennifer of Katy, Texas, and Bobbi Ann Kilbride and her husband Ryan of Branford; sister Caroline Syx of Columbus, Ohio; and grandchildren Steven and Nate Kinser and Jacob and Lilly Kilbride. He was predeceased by siblings, Jane, Walter, Dave, Paul, and Melvin.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 14, at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. during calling hours at the funeral home.
