Clinton and Westbrook

James “Jimmy” Dauda, Jr., 88, of Groton gained his wings and passed away May 15, 2020, at home. He was born on Nov. 6, 1931, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Mary and James Dauda, Sr., who later resided in Clinton until their passing. He is predeceased by his brother, Ronald Dauda of New Jersey.

Jim retired from Arwood Interlake/Wyman-Gordon after working there for more than 20 years. After retiring, he changed careers and went to work for the Town of Westbrook, a town with many people of whom he was very fond and where he retired five years ago, after working 20 years. He and his wife enjoyed weekly bowling for 35-plus years. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed having fun.

He is survived by and greatly missed by his wife Judith Dauda of Groton; a son, Ricky Dauda of Groton; a daughter, Robin Dauda of Groton; and a daughter, Sally Giglio-Dauda Price and her husband Kenneth of Mystic, as well as five grandchildren, Anthony Price and his wife Samantha, Brandon Price, Christian Price, Isaiah Dauda, and Bella Dauda; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Price and Alaycia Price; and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 at the VFW post in Mystic, with a celebration reception immediately following.
