Cherie Oest Thibodeau, beloved wife of Arthur Thibodeau, daughter of Virginia Russell and the late Ronald Oest, died in Florida on Dec. 23, 2020, at the age of 65. She was raised in Deep River by her mother and stepfather, the late Oscar Buracchi

Cherie was a graduate of Valley Regional High School and earned an associate degree from Mohegan Community College.

She leaves her husband; mother; three sons, Thomas, Gregory, and William Thibodeau; sister Jade Oest; and half sisters and brothers Patricia Pace, Russell Buracchi, and Timothy, Cheyenne, Lorraine, and Laura Oest.

She loved to swim, do water aerobics, crafts, and quilting and was known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies. She was a good person and did volunteer work for ten years in the oncology department at Windham Hospital. She will be missed by many.
