Muriel Childs Blaski of Branford died on April 16 at the Madison House after a brief illness. Muriel was born in Meriden on Sept. 23, 1929, daughter of the late Arthur E. and Audrey Wilson Childs.

She had worked as an accounting clerk for a temp agency prior to retiring.

She is survived by her daughters Carrie Lynn (Stephen) Hays of Jacksonville, Florida, and Geraldine Ann (Frank) Ranalli of Branford, her grandchildren Christopher Stephen Hays and Stephanie Lynn Hays, her great-grandchildren Alexis June Hays and Sawyer Christopher Hays, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street Branford. Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private. For directions and her online memorial, see www.wsclancy.com.
