Mia Clementina Simuong, beloved three-year-old daughter of Dennis and Stefania Simuong of East Haven, passed away peacefully on March 25 at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with her mommy and daddy by her side. Mia was born in New Haven on April 26, 2017.

She was the loving granddaughter of Richard and Clementina Onofrio and Don and Kim Simuong and dear niece of Rebecca and Mark Avery, Angelo Onofrio, and David Simuong. She is also survived by her adoring cousins, Ariana Onofrio and Travis and Callie Avery.

The visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. pn Tuesday, April 6, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, April 7, to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mia Simuong/Edward J. Onofrio Foundation c/o Liberty Bank, 153 College Street, New Haven, CT 06510.
