North Haven

Grace Laudicina D’Adamo, 79, of North Haven passed away peacefully on March 21, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to William D’Adamo. Born in New Haven Sept. 21, 1941, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Francesca Bua Laudicina.

She grew up in West Haven in the Allingtown neighborhood and lived in North Haven and Hamden throughout her life. She enjoyed music and Broadway theater. Grace was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved entertaining family gatherings.

She was the mother of Diane D’Adamo, Angela Nazario (David), and Michael D'Adamo (Laurieann) and grandmother of Jacqueline and Jennifer O’Hare, Lauren Arpino, Christine Nazario, and Evann, Joseph, and Amanda D’Adamo. She was predeceased by her sister Michelina Bosco and a brother, James P. Laudicina.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many compassionate caregivers from Companions and Homemakers and Visiting Angels throughout the years.

The visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden at 10 a.m. Thursday morning, March 25, to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease-CT Chapter, 1450 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511.
