Eileen Flanagan Tupper, 71, passed away peacefully on March 10 in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Eileen (Garvey) Flanagan and Francis Flanagan of Rocky Hill. She was in the first graduating class of Mercy High School, 1967.

She was employed by the State of Connecticut for 37 years until her retirement at age 54. Eileen enjoyed any time spent with her children, grandchildren, close friends, and family. She especially enjoyed her time spent in Ogunquit, Maine. If you were fortunate enough to know Eileen, then you will always remember her smile, her caring ways, and her love of everything Irish.

Eileen is survived by her loving husband Bruce Tupper, her daughter Kelly (Gary) Tupper of Salem, and her two sons, David (Jade) Tupper (North Carolina) and Dennis Tupper (North Carolina). She is also survived by her sister Betty (John) Zullo (Wethersfield), brother Dennis (Linda) Flanagan (New Jersey), brother Danny (Nancy) Flanagan (Florida), and brother Tom (Dave) Flanagan (Texas); grandchildren Mariah, Mackenzie, Simon, Alexia, and Penelope; and several nieces and nephews and close friends.

Funeral services were held March 16 at Swans Funeral Home in Old Saybrook followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery in Old Saybrook. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to a hospice of your choice.
