North Haven

Susan Aldrich Granata, 73, of North Haven passed away peacefully on March 4 at her home with her family by her side. Susan was born in New Haven on March 9, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Norman and Bertha Stubbs Aldrich.

She worked as an administrative assistant at Yale University for more than 20 years. Susan was a big part of many organizations and groups. She enjoyed playing golf and was an avid New York Yankee fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.

Susan is survived by her sisters Marguerite Genovese of Branford and Diane Parcesepe of North Haven, her daughter Jennifer (Andrew) Pizzano of North Haven, her son Jeffrey (Hope) Granata of Meriden, her grandchildren Benjamin and Addison Pizzano, and many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, in The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
