Marjorie J. Rowell of Madison passed away on Feb. 21 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of Henry Rowell, Sr., and this past October they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Marjorie was born on Sept. 7, 1935, in Guilford to Irving Herbert Jones and Ann Sylvia Beckwith.

She was the loving mother of Henry and Debra Rowell, Jeffrey and Jennifer Rowell of Madison, and Irving Rowell of Guilford. She is survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister Sylvia Shepard, sister-in-law Lois Jones of Bridgton, Maine, and brother Gene and his wife Olive Jones of Guilford. She was predeceased by her parents, Irving Herbert and Sylvia B. Jones; and brothers Raymond Jones and Robert Jones.

Marjorie helped run the family business Rowell Cleaning Service since it was started in 1965.

Friends are invited to pass through calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford.
