Ms. Beverly Johnson, 92, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at Artis Senior Living in Branford.

Beverly is survived by her children, Leslie Johnson and William Johnson; her younger sister Myrna Zabloudil; and her former spouse Bill Johnson. She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Geneva Vaughan.

Beverly was born in Burlington, Iowa June 15, 1928. She later moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where she earned a master’s degree in music from Drake University. She married Bill Johnson and raised her family in Des Moines. Beverly taught piano lessons to both children and adults for over 40 years from her home in Des Moines. She loved gardening, her cats, reading, and playing the piano. In 2016 she retired and moved to Branford to live close to her daughter.

Beverly will be loved and missed by her children and friends. At her request, no services will be held. Condolences may be sent to 13 Vineyard Road, Branford, CT 06405.
